Extra Services
Every dog is different — these services are designed to give that extra bit of care when it’s needed most.

Dematting
For dogs with light matting or tangles. I work gently and patiently to ease out knots, keeping your dog relaxed throughout.
If the coat is severely matted or causing discomfort, a shorter clip may be required under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 to avoid pain or stress. Heavy matting can also blunt grooming blades, so addressing it early helps keep the process smoother and safer.
From:

Shaving of Pelted or Severely Matted Coats
When a dog’s coat becomes so matted that brushing would cause discomfort, clipping is the safest and most considerate way to deal with it.
Working through a pelted or severely tangled coat takes steady concentration and can dull blades quickly, but the focus remains on keeping your dog as comfortable as possible.
After the groom, we will talk through coat care and suitable grooming intervals to help prevent the matting from returning.
From:

Flea Treatment & Salon Deep Clean
If fleas are found during a groom, I will finish the appointment where it is safe to do so, treat your dog, and then carry out a full salon fumigation and deep clean.
This requires the use of specialist, expensive chemicals, and any affected items must be thrown away to maintain proper hygiene and safety.
If you know your dog has fleas before your appointment, please contact me in advance so I can arrange a suitable time for the visit.
From:

Nervous, Reactive or Senior Dogs
Some dogs need a little extra patience — and that’s perfectly fine.
I take my time with each dog, using calm, quiet handling and recognised comfort methods such as towels or soft cones when needed.
Each appointment is unrushed and designed around your dog’s comfort level.
